WE ARE NOT SUPPLYING “JUST IN CASE” COURSES OF STEROID AND ANTIBIOTICS
(KNOWN AS RESCUE PACKS) TO ANYONE WHO IS NOT ALREADY HAVING THEM
AS PART OF THEIR USUAL TREATMENT BEFORE THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.
We know that people with underlying respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD will be worried
about how the Coronavirus might impact them. Here is some advice:
Use your inhalers as you have been advised by your healthcare professional to
manage your underlying condition as best as possible.
We are not closed, but due to the current situation resulting from the Coronavirus COVID-19, all patients requesting an appointment will now be offered a telephone or video consultation with a GP or Nurse first and a further appointment will be made if they need to see you in person. Only one person my enter the consultation room with the doctor/nurse.
The telephone lines are still operating as normal, but please do not attend the surgery without an appointment as we are trying to reduce the risk to our patients and practice team.
Please be assured that all ongoing and necessary treatment will continue to be provided.
Prescription requests can be posted through the letterbox or ordered via MHOL. You can still pick up your prescriptions or medication from the surgery.
Thank you for your understanding.
If you or someone you live with has either a high temperature or a new continuous cough, do not leave home and visit NHS online for advice. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you are staying home unless you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms, your condition gets worse or your symptoms do not get better after 7 days.
